We created Black Forest by blending a funky barrel-aged stout with a mellow, chocolatey variant, along with an infusion of organic cocoa nibs.
The tartness from the barrel-aged component suggests black cherry and raspberry (although no fruit was added), with the complex oaky, chocolate finish coming from the barrel, the malts, and the cocoa nib infusion.
